Bison 4" Chuck

Bison 4" w/ two sets of jaws (inside and outside), back-plate for mounting to a 1" x 10 tpi spindle, a chuck wrench and Allen wrench. This chuck is advertised by Bison to have a radial run-out of 0.0008". When mounted on the spindle of my 6" Atlas, the radial run-out of a bar gripped in the chuck was 0.001" near the face of the chuck and between 0.001” and 0.0025” at 5 inches from the face of the chuck (variation occurred with repeated re-chucking of the test bar). The ‘98/’99 MSC catalog, page 2355, lists this chuck w/ back-plate for $190.00. A new chuck with out the back-plate sold for $105.00 on e-bay on 3/19/00. This chuck was used less than 50 hrs and is in excellent condition.
